Soil respiration tester for measuring soil respiration rate

Article source: Hengmei Technology    Release time:2025-07-11 14:02:24

The soil respiration tester is an intelligent device integrating multi-parameter detection functions. It can accurately measure the fluxes of gases such as CO₂, H₂O, and N₂O, as well as key indicators such as soil temperature and humidity, providing a scientific basis for understanding the interaction between soil and atmosphere.

The soil respiration tester adopts advanced gas analysis technology and sensor fusion technology to measure the gas exchange flux on the soil surface through closed or dynamic gas chamber methods. When the instrument is in operation, the breathing chamber is first sealed and covered over the soil surface to create a temporary micro-environment. The built-in high-precision infrared gas analyzer (IRGA) monitors the change rate of CO₂ concentration in the gas chamber in real time. Combined with the data from temperature and pressure sensors, the soil respiration rate is calculated through a specific algorithm.

The instrument can simultaneously monitor multiple key parameters:

Gas parameters: Concentration changes of CO₂, H₂O, N₂O, CH₄

Soil parameters: moisture content, temperature, electrical conductivity

Environmental parameters: atmospheric pressure, air temperature

The soil respiration tester integrates multiple technological innovations, significantly enhancing the convenience of fieldwork and the reliability of data. The Android intelligent operating system, in combination with a 7-inch high-definition touch screen, has optimized human-computer interaction, making complex breathing measurements intuitive and simple. The instrument supports precise control of gas flow. Researchers can set different flow rates according to experimental requirements and conduct comparative studies on respiratory intensity under multiple conditions.
