Product Introduction

1. The soil aggregate structure plays an important role in soil fertility. Good aggregate structure is the foundation of soil fertility, and the relationship between aggregate structure and soil fertility is mainly manifested in the following aspects: regulating the contradiction between soil moisture and air; Coordinate the contradiction between the consumption and accumulation of soil nutrients; Stabilize soil temperature and regulate soil thermal conditions; Improving soil fertility is beneficial for the extension of crop roots. The soil particle analyzer is suitable for analyzing aggregates in soil, environmental, geological and other laboratory experiments.

2. Method principle

After dry screening the air dried samples, determine the particle distribution under a certain mechanical stability. Then, mix the particle distribution obtained by the dry screening method in the corresponding proportion and wet it in water to determine the quantity and distribution of water stable macroaggregates.

Terminology and definitions

1. Soil aggregates

The total amount of aggregates in soil that vary in size, shape, porosity, mechanical stability, and water stability. It is composed of soil primary particles that are interconnected through the aggregation, cementation, and bonding of colloids.

2. Soil macroaggregates

Aggregates with a diameter of 0.25mm~10m in soil are called soil macroaggregates

3. Soil water stable macroaggregates

It is a large aggregate of soil particles bonded together by organic matter such as calcium and magnesium, mycelium, etc., which is not easily disintegrated by shaking, soaking, and washing in water, but still maintains its original structure.
